Earmark Article in the Oregonian
Here's a link to an article about earmarks in the Oregonian. Interesting to note that in the tenth paragraph the article talks about how school programs are one of the earmarks that garner universal support.
In 1998 I founded Portable Planetarium, (www.portableplanetarium.com) a traveling multimedia astronomy presentation. Using technology within an experiential environment, over 250,000 students, at hundreds of schools across America, were introduced to the wonders of astronomy. I currently am the Oregon/Washington Account Manager for Educational Options, an online curriculum provider. I've been involved with technology in education for over ten years - and am interested in the ways we learn and gain understanding of our universe. I've experienced firsthand how technology can enhance and facilitate the learning process and hope to advocate creative, novel ways to advance traditional education.
